A Message from our CEO, Paul Martodam
Dear friends of Catholic Charities,
As a human service agency, the last thing Catholic Charities wants to do is grow. We would prefer to be unneeded, out of business, at peace in the knowledge that even the meekest among us have their needs met.
Unfortunately, we are not there yet. The enormity of need in our communities is striking-from a person needing a little help with a utility bill, to a woman and her children needing safety to escape abuse, to a neglected child needing a loving, stable family. Sadly, we see more and more people coming through our doors, many of whom we do not have the resources to help.
Despite this reality, we continue to work hard, giving every person the respect and compassion they deserve. For this, I can only praise our wonderful staff. They are professional, dedicated, and caring-the envy of any organization. Catholics, and people of every faith who work with and contribute to us, can be proud of the people who represent our faith journey.
With such a valuable staff and your support, we will continue to meet the challenges we face in serving those in need. We pray that you will continue to support our mission to build just and caring communities for vulnerable children, families at risk, and people in crisis.
Peace and blessings,
Paul J. Martodam, MPA
