"With our geographic reach stretching from New Mexico to Nevada, and to Utah to the north, our mission is rural social work, which requires our staff to be generalists-problem solvers, knowledgeable about resources and how to access them, and understanding that each of us truly is 'Catholic Charities' in our respective communities."

Victor Hudenko
Regional Director

Programs and Services

Catholic Charities facilitates the adoption of infants, supporting birth and adoptive families throughout the process. Part of this process may be counseling women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

Aspen House is a transitional housing facility that offers a safe home to troubled youths ages 15-18 while offering counseling and independent living and life skills training.

Our counseling staff provides understanding, caring, and support to help individuals and families deal with life challenges, behavioral problems, and family relationships.

Our emergency services programs help low-income individuals and families meet their basic needs-food, clothing, and shelter.

This program aims to get homeless people off the streets and into permanent housing.

Families FIRST offers substance abuse treatment to people who are referred by CPS, Family Builders, the Department of Developmental Disabilities, or the JOBS Administration.

We recruit loving and stable families to care for children in the custody of Child Protective Services. We also assist in the adoption process when these children find a permanent home with an adoptive family.

This program connects people in crisis with needed community resources that can help them move beyond crisis to a state of emotional and financial stability. The program can also offer financial assistance for various purposes when necessary.

Transportation

Catholic Charities helps foster children in mostly rural Mohave and Coconino Counties in getting to medical or dental appointments, counseling sessions, and parental visits.
