Pregnancy Counseling & Adoption
Pregnancy Counseling
Catholic Charities Pregnancy counselors provide birth options counseling to women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and to their support systems. We help women explore their options and empower them to make informed choices. Catholic Charities assists regardless of the decision to parent or place a child for adoption. The agency provides support to women who choose to consider adoption as they match with certified adoptive families. Temporary care for infants is available when women need time to contemplate their decision. Support groups and post placement services are also available to birth parents regardless of whether they placed through Catholic Charities. No fees are charged to the pregnancy client.
Infant Adoptions
Catholic Charities provides comprehensive services to families considering adoption. Families receive education, home study services, and assistance as they match with prospective birth parents. The program also offers post placement services, including supervision and support as they prepare to finalize their adoption. Additional support exists throughout the child's life to help address adoption-related issues that may arise. Comprehensive services have a standard fee schedule; some services may also be provided on a fee-for-service basis.
