Our Life Skills Specialist supplements the living-in-America orientation and, with qualified volunteers, helps our refugee families develop the skills they need to live day-to-day, things many of us take for granted:
- Use of public transportation including bus, light rail, taxi service and carpooling
- Shopping
- Home maintenance
- Finance and budgeting
- Tax preparation
- American banking system
- American education system
- American health care system
