The first step on the path to prosperity is financial education. Paths of HOPE offers the FDIC's Money Sense to help vulnerable individuals and families learn to manage their money and their credit wisley. The free three-part helps participants with:
- Financial Recovery: Participants assess their current financial situation, develop a financial recovery plan and learn how to rebuild their credit
- Charge it Right: Participants learn about credit and how to use it wisely
- Loan to Own: Participants learn about the different types of loans and how to avoid predatory lending
Financial education classes are for individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet or just want to get ahead. Classes help participants achieve financial stability as they work towards long-term prosperity. They are also encouraged to participate in the Getting Ahead workshop series.
Classes are offered in English and Spanish. To make classes more accessible, light meals are provided.
