DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Mentor and supervise area Family Case Specialists
• Responsible for area enrollment process
• Support a team consisting of Child Service Specialist, Family Case Specialist, secretary and educational staff by participating in area planning.
• Monitor Family Service operations to ensure compliance with WSHS Policies and Procedures, the Grant Plan and the HS Performance Standards.
• Initiate and facilitate local community partnership agreements.
• Participate and collaborate with local advisory committee and agencies to maintain current information on available resources, issues and trends.
• Collaborate with local programs and agencies to provide services to families.
• Coordinate training needs identified by area families and staff.
• Monitor MIS for input and accuracy
• Implement and participate in the food programs guidelines and regulations.
• Perform other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have knowledge and understanding of health and Family Services.
• Must have good interviewing and assessment skills.
• Must have good working knowledge of community resources, social work principles and health screening assessment.
• Must demonstrate initiative and good judgment must be flexible towards change.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to work with moderate interruptions.
• Requires a minimum of an Associates Degree in social work or related field.
• Minimum of two years working with low income families and children, assessment and case recording experience.
• Experience with multi-cultural populations preferred.
• Must be able to meet the Department of Health requirements.
• Must have valid AZ Driver License, current AZ registration, insurance and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to obtain fingerprint clearance.
• Bilingual Spanish/English, written and oral strongly preferred.
SALARY: Full-time, Grade 10 position. $15.16 an hour.
